Ideas for Oreos?

So there's always this enticing ice cream sundae station that I pass by longingly every day. But I happened to notice that one of the bowls has crunched up Oreos....which are vegan...havent figured out something good to do with them yet but I'm thinking something involving soymilk...maybe bananas...any ideas?

If you freeze really ripe bananas and then blend them to a mush (with a little soymilk if you like) it makes a great icecream substitute. You could add Oreo crumbs to that and stir it in before eating. Though if you don't have access to a freezer and a blender / food processor this idea is a non starter!

I second the frozen banana idea! (It might even be worth buying a hand-held blender for that one--they only cost about $20). If this is at the cafeteria, do you have access to vegan yogurt? You could stir some into that.

Thanks for your comment on my blog--and so sorry I missed the cookbook! But what an absolutely wonderful idea for a gift--I bet she loved it. :)

My dad bought me one of those Take'n'Go portable blenders (it "blends" the mixture right into a travel cup), and I used to blend Oreo's, regular bananas, and soy milk in the school cafeteria; I got some crazy looks at first, but then it was just, "Oh, that's just that vegan girl!" I tried oreos in chocolate soy milk once, but the hydrogenated oils in the cookies mix with the cocoa is this really weird (and unappetizing) way. Also, if your caf ever has sorbet, you can ask if it's vegan, and put those oreo's on top!

I forgot! I once mixed oreos in with oatmeal...that was an interesting experiment...
